If you can't beat them, drive around them!

Frustration with air travel is sending corporate customers to their Buick Dealers for fleet cars. Recent statistics provided by the U.S. Travel Association indicate that a large percentage of American travel is for business and further, that much of this travel is done by car. An increase in car travel may be explained by the recent changes in procedure for air travel.
According to their website, “A recent study by the U.S. Travel Association revealed a deep frustration among air travelers that caused them to avoid an estimated 41 million trips over the past 12 months at a cost of more than $26 billion to the U.S. economy. Air travelers expressed little optimism for positive change, with nearly 50 percent saying that the air travel system is not likely to improve in the near future. The effect of avoided trips cost airlines more than $9 billion in revenue; hotels nearly $6 billion and restaurants more than $3 billion. Federal, state and local governments lost more than $4 billion in tax revenue because of reduced spending by travelers.” Bad for the airlines but an excellent business opportunity for Buick GMC Dealers.
Scott McCorkle of Liberty Buick GMC is predicting huge increases in fleet car sales this year. As travelers become more and more dissatisfied with air travel, more companies are investing in travel by car. Companies eager for tax breaks and special year-end pricing flood the market each December. “This year will be especially big due to the appeal of the Buick to corporations.” McCorkle predicts. McCorkle’s Buick Dealership in Charlotte, NC has already seen an increase in orders for December. He cites the quality, safety and discount prices on the Buick as contributing factors.
Mike Benjamin, CEO of FlightView says "Travelers want to be in control of their experiences, and that begins with timely, accurate information. With an emphasis on 'accurate' – air traveler frustration skyrockets when the information provided by different sources, whether airlines or airports, on digital signage, websites, or apps, doesn't match up.”
With this in mind, McCorkle says Buick is proving to be the preferred travel experience. “We have always made comfort and safety priorities but the new digital communication features in the modern Buick make it ideal for businesses on the go. When people are working they need to feel comfortable and in control. They need the best communication features and options available.”
Corporations that purchase or lease ten or more vehicles qualify as commercial fleet buyers. They are assigned a fleet registration number that entitles them to all available manufacturers' and dealers' fleet incentive programs. The savings are huge and fleet ownership is easier than ever. Buick fleet models range from trucks to SUVs, Crossovers and sedans. They are built for comfort, says McCorkle. The Buick Regal and Verano are smooth-riding sedans that come with all the latest bells and whistles from GM.
“Americans are in their cars a lot. Statistics show we like to stay on the road a lot. But for business travelers, it’s especially important that all their needs are accommodated. The ride may be the only fun they have,” says McCorkle!
