Atos, an international IT services company, has signed an IT contract with the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee (NYOGOC) to design, build and operate the IT infrastructure and systems for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, in China’s Jiangsu province. It marks the second time Atos has secured a Youth Olympic Games contract after the inaugural Youth Olympic Games were hosted in Singapore in 2010.
Atos has been the Worldwide IT Partner for the Olympic and Paralympic Games since Salt Lake City 2002. This includes the Olympic Games in Athens (2004), Beijing (2008), as well as the recently completed London 2012 Olympic Games, and the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Under this new contract, Atos will work with NYOGOC as its IT partner:
▶ To support NYOGOC over the next two years for the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games as chief IT integrator, providing effective project management focusing on risk management, optimized technical solutions and flexible resource management to the Games.
▶ Be responsible for defining the strategy and detailed process and planning for Games IT Integration and Operation.
▶ To provide Project Management Office (PMO) services to ensure efficient project management to NYOGOC.
▶ To leverage the first class IT resources from Nanjing - the software city, by recruiting and partnering with outstanding local companies to provide world class IT services to NYOGOC, and at the same time offering leading local IT companies a chance to grow by participating in one of the highest-profile IT projects in the world.
