Family history can be a very interesting topic, and finding out more about who you are descended from is understandably interesting.

Preparations for Remembrance Day are underway for Sunday November 11, as poppies go on sale and attentions turn to events marking the occasion.
The Prime Minister recently announced details of how Britain will be marking the centenary of the outbreak of World War I in 2014, pledging more than £50m to be spent on commemorating the day. The Imperial War Museum in London will be transformed as well as a programme established to allow children to visit battlefields. Events will also be planned to commemorate Armistice Day in 2018.
While efforts are underway to ensure no generation forgets the significance and loss of both World Wars and wars fought since, focus on the nation’s history has also spurred interest in individuals tracing relatives from the period. Bristol Investigators are often called upon to help with the compiling of family trees.
A spokesperson from Bristol Private Detectives said:
“As the centenary approaches, attention is expected to increase on people’s individual links to the World Wars. Many lives were lost through both wars and countless people may never have known of their relatives that were alive around that time. Family history can be a very interesting topic, and finding out more about who you are descended from is understandably interesting. Our expertise in tracing people and locating information can aid someone who is trying to piece their family history together.”
