Tax Council Policy Institute’s 14th Annual Symposium to Address Taxation of Intangibles

The Tax Council Policy Institute (TCPI) announced today that its 14th Annual Tax Policy & Practice Symposium will be held on February 13-14, 2013, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC. The program is titled “The Taxation of Intangibles: Implications for Growth, Jobs and Competitiveness.” The program manager for the event is Ernst & Young LLP, a leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.

“The TCPI annual symposium plays a critical role in helping to shape the debate, define the issues and shed light on important tax topics,” said Lynda K. Walker, Esq., executive director and general counsel of TCPI. “We look forward to bringing together leading professionals from government, academia and the private sector to focus on the taxation of intangibles.”

“In today’s global corporate environment, the taxation of intangibles is a subject of much debate and will only increase in importance in our ever more digital economy,” said Michael Mundaca, co-director of National Tax at Ernst & Young LLP and program executive for the symposium.

As a prelude to the symposium, TCPI will host a webcast titled “Taxation of Intangibles: Implications for Growth, Jobs and Competitiveness – An Introduction,” on Monday, December 10 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm ET.
