The Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery has developed a new obesity surgery affordability calculator to help people find out exactly how much money they are losing due to health-threatening weight problems monthly and annually.

The affordability calculator that is located on the center’s website (http://www.denverbariatrics.com/default/affordability-calculator) asks surgery candidates five simple questions about what they spend on health-related expenses each month. The calculator asks for the patients name, how much may be spent on groceries each month, how much may be spent on prescriptions each month, out of pocket health expenses, and how much may be spent on weight loss programs each month.

Maybe patients find that these expenses quickly add up, and after they enter information into the calculator, a graph is displayed to show people exactly how much money they are spending monthly and annually. Also, a second graph is created to show how much the patient will save each month and year after having weight loss surgery.

The Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery (http://www.denverbariatrics.com) is a facility that specializes in weight loss, or bariatric, surgery in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Michael Snyder and his team have many years of experience helping obese patients through weight loss surgery. Surgeries performed by the Denver Center for Bariatrics include: Lap Band, Realize Band, Adjustable Gastric Band, Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy in Denver.
