Employees of Orlando-based technology company SoftRock recently participated in the Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure, an event benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
“Breast cancer has affected my life; my mom battled this form of cancer,” said SoftRock Chief Operating Officer Kelly Romero. “So many women and families are impacted by breast cancer, so it’s a blessing to have SoftRock employees participate in this event to create awareness and actively support the cause.”
SoftRock’s hundreds of employees supported the race team with donations for Komen’s mission. There were a total of 4,961 participants and 304 teams at the Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure event.
