Gunsmith’s Gallery chose to be a drop off location for All Faiths Food Bank because we heard throughout the community that there was a need and we wanted to help.

Gunsmith's Gallery located at 360 Tamiami Trail South in Nokomis features the only licensed gunsmith in Sarasota County. Where other gun shop locations send out guns to be repaired, Gunsmith’s Gallery handles all work in-house.

"Gunsmith’s Gallery chose to be a drop off location for All Faiths Food Bank because we heard throughout the community that there was a need and we wanted to help. Last year we had a fundraiser and raised over $700.00 for the Nokomis Volunteer Firefighters and because of that success, we are always looking to help out the community in a variety of ways,” said manager, Jacqueline Ridings.

They will have a bin located in the store to fight hunger from November 3rd until November 6th. All Faiths Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, gathers and in co-operation with their more than 160 partner agencies distribute food to more than 7100 people weekly in Sarasota and DeSoto counties. Gunsmith's Gallery says, “We are stocking All Faiths Food Bank's arsenal for the future."

Gunsmith’s Gallery also serves the women in the community by recently adding "Gallery Girls” for beginners to intermediate of all ages, every Saturday from 8:30am-12pm for $75.00. This is an instructional time for personal safety and self-defense held by a certified firearms instructor. Each Saturday includes personal safety, one on one instruction, practicing and sharpening handgun skills, finding the right weapon for you and ease of comfort with weapons using multiple types of guns including revolvers and semi-automatic weapons.

In addition to the food drive, on November 3rd, Gunsmith’s Gallery is one of the local businesses participating in the treasure hunt for local families in Osprey and Nokomis. The treasure hunt’s registration begins at 9.15am at Bentley’s Resort Hotel. Each business will have giveaways for individuals who enter the business location on the day of treasure hunt.
