As trick-or-treaters line up with their candy bags, Dr. Anne-Marie Chalmers plans to hand out a different kind of goody: a chocolate that she says satisfies candy cravings, without compromising people’s health.
Dr. Chalmers’ Venice-based Omega3 Innovations makes Omega Passion, a chocolate truffle that contains 1000 mg of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, as well as 5 g of oat fiber and a non-alkalized dark chocolate coating.
“What’s wonderful with the Omega Passion,” says Dr. Chalmers, “is that it not only provides a healthier-than-average Halloween treat, but delivers significant health benefits.”
Dr. Chalmers notes that the high dose of both the omega-3 and oat fiber found in the Omega Passion match the doses used in research studies on diabetes and weight management.
