"The Arizona Experience Store is an innovative and entrepreneurial experiment by the State of Arizona. We are creating a one-stop service to provide a wide variety of maps, reports, and products from state and federal agencies under one roof"
Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) October 25, 2012
The Arizona Geological Survey opened the brand new Arizona Experience Store, a multi-faceted Arizona retail and resource destination, in downtown Tucson. The Arizona Experience Store successfully combines both free and for sale resources from multiple government agencies and organizations, including Arizona Game & Fish, U.S. Forest Service, and Pima County Natural Resources Department. The Arizona Experience Store is also a contemporary gift shop featuring an extensive collection of Arizona Minerals as well as uniquely Arizonan souvenirs, handmade gifts, books, field guides, maps, and more.
"The Arizona Experience Store is an innovative and entrepreneurial experiment by the State of Arizona. We are creating a one-stop service to provide a wide variety of maps, reports, and products from state and federal agencies all under one roof,” said Dr. Lee Allison, State Geologist and Director of Arizona Geological Survey.
The Arizona Experience Store replaces the old Arizona Geological Survey Bookstore, greatly enhancing the layout and offerings offered by its predecessor. The new Arizona Information Center contains free brochures from over 60 city, county, state, and federal agencies, as well as community organizations. A touchscreen monitor allows the public to search online for additional resources.
In addition to providing the widest collection of multiple agency resources, the Arizona Experience Store serves as Tucson’s Arizona Highways retail outlet.
The Arizona Experience Store, together with the website, http://www.arizonaexperience.org, provides residents and visitors alike a chance to broaden their experiences and knowledge about The Grand Canyon State. The store is located at 416 W. Congress Street, next to the State Complex.
