Social Networks are pretty simple. They are tools to help you connect with people online and have a good time watching what they're doing and saying. But New York's Dossey Richards thinks that there should be more. Using the help of crowdfunding platform indiegogo.com. He recently launched a campaign, that ends November 28th, to help fund his new social network that is going to give creativity and expressive ability back to the social network user.
Richards found that many of his artistic friends in the city of New York rarely, or never at all, logged into Facebook or any other social network. And after much time asking around, he found it was a problem everywhere. People who have artistic and intellectual interest don't like today's social networks. And the main problem? It's not an expressive outlet from them. Some people want more than simply uploading pictures, liking and following pages. So Richards, with the help of some friends, listed features they felt would improve upon the already existing Social Network features and launched! By using indiegogo.com, strangers and friends can contribute money by "claiming perks" and in exchange for money the individual receives the items/rewards listed in the perk they claim. Richards advocates that people that can not afford to buy a perk to help out, simply share the link and "spread the word. And thinks "It's a sure fire way of building a product with the help and constant support of the consumers..". To help out this amazing cause go to indiegogo.com/cerebrahsocial .
