The Korea Smart Grid Week is Korea’s premier trade show and conference for buyers and exhibitors in the rapidly expanding and ever-evolving global smart grid technology industry. Since its inaugural installment in November 2010, the Korea Smart Grid Week has emerged as a prime venue for business leaders, industry representatives, and other major players in the global smart grid market to gather in one convenient location and forge crucial business relationships with partners from Korea and abroad. The Korea Smart Grid Week also offers visitors unparalleled access to the latest trends and developments in an increasingly important industry, and Korea Smart Grid Week 2012, scheduled for October 30th to November 2nd in Seoul, South Korea, will undoubtedly build on the show’s past success as a world-class exhibition and conference.
Korea Smart Grid Week 2011 was organized and hosted by the Korea Ministry of Knowledge Economy, the Korea Smart Grid Association, the Korean Smart Grid Institute, and Coex, as the country’s first government-sponsored smart grid conference and exhibition. The 2011 show welcomed more than 8,000 visitors and featured 85 exhibitors from six countries, including major corporations such as Samsung Group, LG Group, SK Group, POSCO, and Hyundai Motor Company, among many others. In addition to the trade show, Korea Smart Grid Week 2011 also featured a series of lectures, speeches, conferences, and symposiums addressing salient issues in the global smart grid industry as well as vendor seminars, an electric car trial-driving program, and other special events, all of which were designed to enhance the networking opportunities available to conference and exhibition attendees.
Visitors to Korea Smart Grid Week 2012 can take advantage of similar business opportunities while also establishing a presence in one of the most advanced and fastest-growing smart grid markets in the world. The South Korean government has adopted green technology as a pillar of South Korea’s economic growth strategy, and the country has consequently emerged as an active participant in the development of smart grid projects both domestically and abroad. South Korea is also home to several ambitious smart grid projects, including a comprehensive smart grid demonstration in Jeju, South Korea that is being organized and funded by the state-controlled Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) in conjunction with a consortium of other private companies and organizations. This regional expertise, in addition to the inclusion of a diverse array of exhibitors from the smart appliances, smart transportation, renewable energy, smart power grid, smart electricity service, and security technology sectors, will ensure that Korea Smart Grid Week 2012 will continue to serve as Asia’s most cutting-edge trade show for the smart grid technology industry.
All of this and more will take place at COEX Convention and Exhibition Center, a world-class venue in the heart of downtown Seoul. Don’t miss your chance to join thousands of buyers, sellers, and industry representatives from around the globe this October at Korea Smart Grid Week 2012 to experience the best of what the global smart grid industry has to offer.
