Karla Powell, one of the hottest upcoming names in celebrity and fashion makeup artistry, has been unveiled as the first star of a brand new blog feature, ‘Beauty Spot’.
The exciting series, launched by leading UK spa booking service, SpaSeekers, will see the agency discuss all things beauty and pampering with favourite names from the world of makeup, fashion and celebrity.
As the winner of monthly women’s magazine Marie Claire’s ‘Best Beauty Twitter Feed of 2012’ award and ambassador for Superdrug’s budget MUA cosmetics range, Karla is the ideal candidate for the first star of SpaSeekers’ Beauty Spot.
“The SpaSeekers Team has been following Karla’s inventive work for a while now and so they were delighted to find out she agreed to star in our first ‘Beauty Spot.’ The industries of spa treatments and beauty are occasionally considered separate – Karla’s interview is just one which will remind the two are inextricably linked," said Jason Goldberg, SpaSeekers director. "Karla was thrilled when asked if she would like to be involved, and was more than happy to share her thoughts on spa treatments, the essential makeup items she cannot live without, what beauty means to her and how to prepare skin for makeup application."
“Skin prep prior to makeup application is very important to me as a makeup artist… Thorough preparation is worthwhile since it means I don’t have to touch up the face during long photo shoots, and applied makeup lasts far longer," said Karla Powell, international makeup artist.
