Great Plains Regional Medical Center Hires New CIO

After conducting a nationwide executive search led by healthcare leadership solutions firm B. E. Smith, Great Plains Regional Medical Center (GPRMC) in North Platte, Neb., has hired Mark Clark as chief information officer. A seasoned healthcare executive with 23 years of information technology and financial leadership experience, Clark will assume his new duties at GPRMC on October 29th.

After conducting a nationwide executive search led by healthcare leadership solutions firm B. E. Smith, Great Plains Regional Medical Center (GPRMC) in North Platte, Neb., has hired Mark Clark as chief information officer. A seasoned healthcare executive with 23 years of information technology and financial leadership experience, Clark will assume his new duties at GPRMC on October 29th.

Prior to joining GPRMC, Clark served in numerous executive leadership roles for Poudre Valley Health Care, Inc., including most recently as site chief information officer. Clark led all information management for Poudre Valley Hospital, Mountain Crest Behavioral Health and outlying outpatient centers. Additionally, he directed initiatives focused on expanding IT operations including the implementation and conversion of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Clark earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in finance at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He is a member of the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS).
