After 14 years with EA SPORTS, he was given the creative license to expand the brand. Transeth was the sole founder of EA SPORTS Films in 2001 that later became known for the player in-game delivery of the brand tagline of “It’s in the Game.” Transeth and his film team gained unprecedented access to athletes in various professional sports and that gave the fans a unique experience that hadn’t been offered before.

His passion for sports has transcended from EA SPORTS to and he says there is a lot of commonality between the two organizations as they both have a love of sports and they’re speaking to the same fan base.

“We share the same fans who love the Madden game,” says Transeth. “They are the fans that are reading our players lifestyle blogs, player polls and they’re engaged in the behind-the-scenes access that only can offer. Transeth is no stranger to sports, he played college football at Washington State University and is avid surfer. In fact, he had the only “surfing clause” in EA history that allowed him to come in late one day a week if the surf was good. In addition to EA SPORTS, he has vast marketing experience with companies such as the Philadelphia Eagles, Neiman Group, McCann-Erickson and J. Walter Thompson. Transeth grew up in the California Bay Area, graduated from Washington State University (WSU) with a BA in Communications and Northwestern University with a Masters in Journalism. He also serves as a board member of the WSU Foundation and consults with WSU’s Wine Science Center. Transeth is married, has two sons and enjoys sports, photography and travel.
