PGA National’s Much-Anticipated Revitalization Project Comes to Finale

PGA National, the revered home of the PGA Tour and The Honda Classic, is tying the bow on a six-year, $100-million renovation project.

The stunning upgrades include a myriad of enhancements to the legendary community of Palm Beach Gardens homes, five championship golf courses and full suite of amenities.

A floor-to-ceiling makeover of PGA National’s resort, and its 379 guest rooms, features stylish bedding, headboards, wall coverings and carpet; spacious, modern work desks with multiple plug-in options; atmospheric lighting; and elegant furnishings. Suite bathrooms have walk-in showers. State-of-the-art, high-definition, 42-inch flat-panel televisions have been installed is all rooms. Eye-catching carpet, tastefully subdued lighting and distinctive artwork line all of PGA National’s corridors and hallways.

The renovation project has revealed the Lakeside Lawn – a new, permanent venue created for outdoor weddings and other social events. It offers a stunning vista of the golf-course lake and panoramic view of the fairways.

PGA National’s five acclaimed golf courses feature new turf, irrigation systems, bunkers and expanded tee and green complexes. Its new Fazio Course will be feted with a grand opening Nov. 1.

“Bar 91” is the next generation of the former 19th Hole Bar and Grill. It has the latest in clubhouse furnishings, expanded outdoor dining, a new kitchen and a redesigned menu ideal for après-golf and casual dining. Palm Terrace, formerly the Citrus Tree Café, continues the breakfast-buffet tradition and will begin to serve as a site for evening events.

The refurbished 40,000-square-foot European-style spa, with 32 treatment areas and the exclusive "Waters of the World" outdoor mineral pools, now complements the motif of the rest of the resort.

The final round of renovations follows the work completed on the clubhouse, health and racquet club, conference and meeting space, beach-entry pool, Ironwood Steak & Seafood restaurant and iBAR.
