Unger to provide expertise in corporate and commercial document and records information management to top eDiscovery organization.

“We are excited to announce that Karen Unger has joined SuperiorDiscovery (the former Superior / SRM Legal) as Vice President,” Gadi Rosenfeld, President and COO, said today. “Karen’s experience and client-centered values match our corporate philosophy. She was an excellent competitor and will now be an enhancement to our team.”

Ms. Unger was the founder and CEO of a well-established, but smaller document management firm headquartered in the Southeast. Her clientele range from large Fortune 500 companies to sole practitioners and small-to-medium enterprises. She provided services to both corporate and service vendor entities.

“I’ve always been impressed with the way Karen comes up with creative solutions for her clients,” says Lenny Chesal, CMO and Vice President of Strategic Sales at Host.net, a multinational managed infrastructure and colocation provider. “She looks at the specific challenge and comes up with ideas that don’t occur to other people – including her clients and competitors!”

Cynthia Williams, CEO of iCONECT Development LLC, offers, “Both Karen and SuperiorDiscovery have been established service providers for iCONECT for over a decade. They think alike, with their first concern being the client.” Both SuperiorDiscovery and Ms. Unger’s prior company have been named in iCONECT’s Top 10 Service Providers. SuperiorDiscovery was also named as a top provider in the Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey. iCONECT Development, LLC, is a global market leader in producing cutting-edge, innovative eDiscovery software products, services and partnership programs for the legal industry, and pioneers of the revolutionary web-based XERA® eDiscovery Review Platform.

Unger’s duties will focus on business development and expanding the commercial (non-legal) document management offers for SuperiorDiscovery. “We’ve been friendly competitors over the years,” said Tom Tigh, Director of SuperiorDiscovery. “We’ve actually worked together on client projects occasionally. Both of us are excited to be collaborating more closely together.”

Karen has recently formed Karen Unger & Associates to provide management consulting, contract executives and office automation services to clients. The firm’s expertise remains in data and document management. Karen has been involved in litigation support, electronic discovery, computer forensics, document automation and electronic file management for over twenty years. She was an early Certified Computer Examiner (CCE).
