Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for original Led Zeppelin Merriweather Post Pavilion Concert Posters. The show was held on May 25, 1969 in Columbia, Maryland. This was the only time the new Led Zeppelin band would share the stage with the headlining Who. According to Hawley, "Zed Zeppelin opened with a hard rocking set followed by the Who. The audience got rowdy, and there was property destruction. The Merriweather Post Pavilion hosted many of the top 1960’s acts including Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and The Doors and Janis Joplin."
Hawley adds,"The silkscreen poster was designed locally and measured approximately 22x28 inches. It features great imagery and colors but steers away from psychedelic art common to fillmore and avalon posters of the day. The poster is unusual because both bands take a back seat to the art."
Hawley is willing to pay $3,000 cash for the Led Zeppelin Merriweather Post Pavilion fillmore style concert posters or any other original Led Zeppelin or Who concert poster from the 1960s. Please call 310-346-1965 or email andrew (at) vintageconcertposterbuyer.com.
