For the GENIUS Press, the new imprint that is driving forward to publish a new line of fun, upbeat books on just about any topic that readers want to learn, has this month met its goal of recruiting 50 editors.
The For the GENIUS Press name was inspired by Thomas Edison’s famous observation that genius is “one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.” GENIUS books, as they've come to be known, are written as comprehensive guides for beginners as well as readers seeking a refresher. Readers will even find themselves entertained by the occasional sprinkled-in humor, and will look forward to sidebars that enhance the discussion.
“Few publishers these days can match the depth of our editorial support for our authors,” said Publisher Stephen Nill. According to Nill, each author is typically assigned four editors, many of whom are published authors in their own right.
