AutoManager, Inc. made a significant upgrade to its WebManager dealer website service Tuesday with brand new tools for analyzing traffic.
WebManager Reports offers charts and graphs made from Google data about the health and visitor base of a dealership website without requiring the dealer to log into a Google Analytics account. Hundreds of U.S. auto dealers use WebManager Reports to determine the effectiveness of their online marketing strategies.
AutoManager CEO Kami Tafreshi said that unlike many product redesigns, this one should feel more familiar to many customers. “We set out to create an experience that was more like Google Analytics,” Tafreshi said. “That meant changing our layout and using more universal terminology.”
Users will also notice a new Mobile tab that allows WebManager users to compare traffic from mobile devices like smartphones and tablets against traditional computers. Tafreshi said mobile traffic is becoming hugely important to dealers not only because of how fast it’s growing, but the role it has taken in the car buying process.
“Car shoppers are now doing a lot of their research and comparison shopping from the road, especially in the later stages of the buying process,” Tafreshi said. “These are different, high-value targets, so it’s important to track them separately. Our new Reports tool puts a lot of emphasis on that.”
In addition to the changes listed above, Tafreshi noted that a complete recoding of the Reports interface has made the product leaner, faster to load and more accurate than ever before. WebManager Reports supports the next generation of the Google Analytics engine, which Google started rolling out earlier this year.
