QHR client hospital, Northern Hospital of Surry County, Mount Airy, NC has been named among Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care, for the second consecutive year.

QHR client hospital, Northern Hospital of Surry County, Mount Airy, NC has been named among Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care, for the second consecutive year. Additionally, Northern Hospital was named in several Healthgrades America categories including: one of the best hospitals for general surgery in North Carolina; five-star recipient for heart attack treatment; among the top five percent for general surgery nationwide; among the top 10 percent for overall pulmonary services, nationwide for eight consecutive years; and among the top five percent for emergency medicine nationwide, for the third consecutive year.

Northern Hospital’s recognitions are based on findings in Healthgrade’s new report American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2013: Healthgrades Report to the Nation. The report evaluates the performance of approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide across nearly 30 of the most common procedures and conditions performed from 2009 through 2011.
