Progressive Fairness Organization beleives the American people deserve the truth as to what factually occurred on September 11, 2012, in our US Consulate in Benghazi. American officials and Susan E. Rice, Ambassador to the United Nations, reported that it was an assault on the US Consulate in Libya, as a result of a spontaneous mob, angry about an Islamic YouTube video.
However, it has been reported that this attack was a terrorist massacre by Islamic extremists tied to Al Qaeda, planned to be executed on the 9/11 Anniversary.
Progressive Fairness contends that the American people deserve the truth as to what contributed to the death of four Americans in Benghazi.
The Progressive Fairness Organization provides a synopsis of recent New York Times articles as a source of information clarifying the events that took place in Benghazi.
To summarize the New York Times articles “Libya Warnings Were Plentiful but Unspecific” and “Libya-Benghazi Attacks” it was reported that American Officials and Susan E. Rice, Ambassador to the United Nations, mislead U.S. citizens with disregard to reports that the massacre was a well-orchestrated attack by Islamic extremists tied to Al-Qaeda. Also, reported was that American Intelligence agencies, as well as Libyan Officials in Benghazi, provided warnings over the past year that a weakened Libyan government had little control over militias including Ansar al-Shariah.
In an additional New York Times article, “E-Mails Offer Glimpse at What U.S. Knew in First Hours After Attack in Libya,” disclosed that a series of emails were sent to the State Department shortly after the attack took place at US Consulate in Benghazi, which included an alert to the White House Situation Room.
