As Hurricane Sandy heads for landfall in Southern New Jersey late Monday night, a High Wind Warning and Flood Warning have been issued for Washington County, Maryland from 8am EST Monday to 8pm EST Tuesday. The NOAA warnings anticipate gusts of up to 45mph and 5-10 inches of rain. Ongoing Operations' Headquarters, located in Hagerstown, MD, is ready to assist clients with any issues.
The OGO data center, located within our Headquarters building in Hagerstown, is equipped with fully redundant power sources, an OGO-dedicated and controlled generator, multi-path/multi-provider internet connections, and is fully staffed. Our engineers and support staff are on high alert and accepting calls related to client issues, as well as keeping our clients apprised of any change in status of our Hagerstown data center.
In addition to a full level of readiness in Hagerstown, OGO's non-east coast resources are also on high alert, prepared to fail-over any operations and/or services to one of our three other national data centers if necessary. Our Western United States Data centers, located in Phoenix, Arizona; Longmont, Colorado; and Thousand Oaks, California are well outside the reach of Hurricane Sandy.
