SSC Laser reports significant increases in sales revenue figures for the 2011-2012 period, rising from £5.1 million in 2011 to £6.5million in 2012: a success UK Sales Director Andy Evans attributes to investment in sales training with leading sales transformation specialists, Pareto Law.
“SSC had seen steady growth over the previous 7 years, but not at the rate they had wanted. With the market becoming more and more margin focused, competitors had risen from just 30 in 1990 to over 600 in 2011. SSC were looking to increase their market share, and offer a differentiator that would set them apart from the competition,” comments Pareto Sales Manager and SSC Laser Account Manager, Andrew Wood.

Pareto successfully delivered bespoke sales training courses to Sales Estimators and Sales Managers at SSC between September and October 2011, striving to standardise the sales process and fundamentally change the way they approached selling. The result saw an increased confidence in sourcing, qualifying and questioning leads and a dramatic rise in activity levels across all levels of staff. SSC’s original objective to penetrate their current market and increase market share was realised as the company saw a growth in new business and level of conversions, ultimately leading to significant growth in annual sales revenue figures: no small feat in the current economy.

Recognising the potential for further growth and encouraged by the success of sales training, SSC returned to Pareto in August 2012 with the requirement for sales graduates. Pareto found 30 graduates of the highest calibre, with SSC coming to view the assessment day and selection process. All 4 required candidates were discovered on the day. All 4 graduates continue to excel within their roles in the business, contributing to SSC’s continued success.
