ABC 33/40 Stations Join The Nashville Network as Birmingham Affiliate

The Nashville Network, a 24/7 country music lifestyle and entertainment network, announces an affiliation agreement with ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama. TNN returns to television on November 1, 2012.

The Nashville Network is pleased to announce an affiliation with ABC 33/40 stations WCFT/WJSU/WBMA in Birmingham, AL (DMA 42). WCFT/WJSU/WBMA, owned and operated by TV Alabama, Inc., a subsidiary of Allbritton Communications Company, will begin broadcasting The Nashville Network’s programming when TNN officially launches on November 1, 2012. The Nashville Network will be found over-the-air on channels 33.3, 40.3 and 58.3 in the Birmingham market. Cable and satellite channel information will be announced at a later date.

Having The Rick and Bubba Show on LIVE each weekday from 6a to 10a makes this even more appealing because of their local appeal. We have arranged with most cable carriers for channel space and can be picked up over the air on 33.3, 40.3 or 58.3. We expect to see our partnership with The Nashville Network grow year after year."

TNN, originally launched as a cable network featuring country music programming, is returning as a broadcast television network. Programming will include live, syndicated and first run programming along with digitally restored content pulled from the vaults on Music Row creating an experience that will bring delight to country music lovers of every generation. The program lineup will include The Rick & Bubba Show, Crook and Chase, Nashville Now, The Country Vibe, Music City Tonight, Gaither Gospel Hour, and Larry’s Country Diner.
