Netop today announced an update to its Remote Control solution that enables its use with the newly released Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. This latest version introduces support for new operating systems, extends security capabilities for accessing remote computers and improves screen transfer capabilities. The updates result in greater functionality and efficiency for Netop Remote Control customers than ever before.
Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 represent significant changes to Microsoft’s operating system, complete with a new Start screen featuring a grid of dynamically updating tiles to represent applications. Netop Remote Control 11.1 includes the addition of Directory Services Groups, enabling organizations to leverage existing groups of computers in their Active Directory via LDAP when creating access policies, saving customer support teams time and effort. The latest version also includes enhancements that allow for faster screen transfer capabilities for businesses running Microsoft Vista and later versions.
