Rosenberg’s new explosion-proof evaporator fans are safe for use in areas where there is danger of explosive atmospheres during normal operations. Rosenberg Ex fans are motorized impellers designed specifically for Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations in temperature classes T1 through T3, IIA and IIB, such as refineries or chemical storage.
The new fans are available in sizes 400mm, 450mm and 500mm, offering airflow from 3,000 to 6,500 CFM. They are designed, manufactured and tested to meet EN 1127-1, EN 13463-1, EN 13463-5, and EN 14986 standards.
Rosenberg Ex fans are equipped with asynchronous external rotor motors built to an IP44 protection class with insulation class F. The fan motors feature protection by PTC resistors integrated into the winding.
The backward curved impellers are made of coated steel. Possible contact surfaces of all components are manufactured to minimize ignition hazards. Smooth, quiet operation is ensured with maintenance-free sealed ball bearings.
Air volume is easily adjustable using pressure and temperature controls. The fans are 100% speed controllable.
