In A.C. Jefferson’s new children’s bookThe Adventures of Lucy the Wiener Dog” (published by AuthorHouse), readers follow Lucy the wiener dog through her many whimsical, fun-loving weekend adventures.

Whether it is chasing squirrels or catching snakes, Lucy has fun doing it all. Lucy, a wiener dog, takes readers with her as she adventures in her backyard. After chasing a squirrel, Lucy catches a snake she wants to keep and brings it to the door to show her mom. She is quickly scolded and told to let it go. Lucy’s heartbreak at losing her new pet quickly is replaced by mischievous glee as she chases a cat.

She leaves the cat for a quick game of catch with her daddy and then a nice soothing bath to make sure she is clean and ready for the next adventure. She goes on to tell tales of riding in cars and sleepy Sunday afternoons before her story is complete.

Jefferson hopes that after putting down this adorable work readers of all ages will smile and be anxious to read the next installment of Lucy and her adventures. “‘The Adventures of Lucy the Wiener Dog’ is a very fun and entertaining book for children that will make them laugh and use their imagination,” says Jefferson. “You will enjoy reading this just as much as your child will enjoy listening to the story about a little red Dachshund named Lucy.”
