Newt Global has recently redesigned its employee perks program, and has re-launched its monthly team event program to help foster a closer and more personal work culture. The Team events are featured every month and allow Newt Global employees to mingle and reconnect with their coworkers as well as the internal Newt Global support team. The team events range from bowling events, happy hours, to fire cracker celebrations, along with larger quarterly events that allow family members and friends to attend.

The redesign of Newt Global team events was initialized earlier this year in effort to improve the Newt Global employee experience. In consideration of improvements that were personalized to employees’ interests, Newt Global sent out a survey to employees asking about team event ideas and suggestions that would interest them. The response featured numerous suggestions from painting classes to rock-climbing events.
Efforts were also made at Newt Global’s India branch; several employee award programs including the Star award as well as the Employee of the Quarter award have been instated to praise and reward the hard work of the employees. The awards are given out on a monthly basis and have several categories and departments regarding performance. An annual company day has also been in place to help celebrate employees and their dedication.
Further surveys were sent out regarding overall Newt Global employee satisfaction, with several specific categories including Human Resources and Management. The surveys were sent out to gauge the areas needing improvement or adjustment, and after all the surveys were collected for review, work culture stuck out as an area needing revision.
The redesign has been met with positive reviews, and the efforts to improve employee satisfaction have been beneficial. Newt Global is reporting higher employee satisfaction and happiness regarding work culture and the overall treatment of the employee.
