Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 31, 2012
Today, Kevin Brooks of Ozonator LLC, is pleased to announce that their Ozonator™ known as the Green Refrigerator Machine™ has been scientifically proven in an independent study to replicate the Earth’s ozone, the most powerful disinfectant produced in nature, to increase the storage life of refrigerated perishables. Thanks to its patented technology, the Green Refrigerator Machine when placed on the top shelf of the refrigerator, helps families prevent food waste, saves on grocery budgets, and makes eating fresh foods more affordable.
According to Kevin Brooks, for more than a century, ozone has been safely produced for commercial and industrial purposes. It was first discovered and named by the German scientist C.F. Schonbein in 1840. The world’s first water treatment plant using ozone was installed in Oudshoorn, Holland in 1893. Today, there are thousands of public municipalities around the world – including many of the largest cities – that are using ozone to clean their water. But there are many more useful benefits that we derive from Ozone. It is the most effective natural bactericide of all the known, readily available disinfecting agents.
“We have developed ozone technologies to make life better in your home, starting where you store your perishables,” said Kevin Brooks. “The Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator is a revolutionary product and the first major advancement in protecting food since the invention of the refrigerator more than 100 years ago. We are honored to bring the refrigerator into the 21st Century.”
The Green Refrigerator Machine is laboratory tested and proven with an independent study that proved the Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator™ is “very effective” in eliminating “strong food odors” and protecting storage life of strawberries and other produce. The shelf life of cut Cantaloupe was more than doubled by storage with the Ozonator. It is possible to store your organic and other healthy food products and keep them fresh longer. Priced at just under forty dollars, the battery-run Ozonator™ proves the most innovative and inexpensive refrigeration addition in the last 100 years.
According to an independent study, conducted by R & D Enterprises of Walnut Creek, CA, a leading laboratory for ozone research, scientific advisors which included D.M. Graham, Ph.D. who pioneered the application of ozone as an antimicrobial agent in food processing, and chaired a national panel of food safety experts, the refrigerator odor elimination by the Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator is “very effective” even for foods such as unwrapped gorgonzola cheese, unwrapped onions, fresh crushed garlic, cooked cabbage and four-day old raw chicken parts.
The study found that the Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator LLC improves Food Storage by Eliminating the Ethylene gas Food Spoilage Factors.
The independent study also proved that refrigerator odor elimination by the Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator is “very effective” in eliminating strong food odors and protecting storage life of strawberries and other produce. The shelf life of cut cantaloupe was more than doubled by storage with the Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator.
This claim is well supported by data from a ten-member professional panel. All ten panelists rated the Green Refrigerator Machine Ozonator test refrigerator as having essentially “no food odors”, while a normal fridge with the same contents was characterized as having “strong food odors”.
The same study showed that produce such as fresh strawberries were much improved by storage with ozone. Molding was prominent in the control berries, while the Refrigerator Ozonator-protected berries still looked fresh and wholesome after storage for eight (8) days. In addition, the shelf life of cut cantaloupe was more than doubled by storage with the Green Refrigerator Machine by Ozonator. Celery stalks remained firm much better with ozone; the improvement compared to storage in a non-Refrigerator Ozonator fridge was “very noticeable”.

About the Scientific Advisers:
D.M. Graham, Ph.D. – Dr. Graham pioneered the application of ozone as an antimicrobial agent in food processing, and chaired a national panel of food safety experts in 1997, resulting in GRAS (Generally Accepted As Safe) affirmation of ozone for use in food processing. This was followed by a Food Additive Petition (FAP) presented to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2000, and approved in 2001.
Rip G. Rice, Ph.D. – Dr. Rice served as an information resource to the Electric Power Research Institute (“EPRI”) panel of experts that declared ozone to be GRAS for direct contact with foods in June of 1997. Later, the EPRI commissioned Dr. Rice to write a Food Additive Petition (FAP) requesting FDA approval of ozone as an antimicrobial agent for direct contact with foods. That FAP was submitted in August 2000 and was approved by the FDA in 2001.
