Celia Banks launches another “Bible Storytime” tour throughout the West and Midwest United States. This time the tour will feature Celia storytelling from one of her four children’s books at some of the largest Mega Churches in the country. These audiences will consists mostly of children from ages 4 to 9.
This tour appropriately comes at a time when children’s publishing has topped the general trade publishing charts. According to Richard Robinson Scholastic’s President and CEO, this trend is “leading families, readers into the bookstores.” “We are honored to be touring on the heels of a national trend in publishing that focuses on our genre of books. This will hopefully allow us to share the wholesome values our books inspire to more people,” says Banks.
Although, the holiday storytelling generally focus on Issy’s Gift, Banks’ story of giving, she has allowed the host church to choose which book she will read from the “God’s Word is Just for Me” series. This series of books have been enjoyed and shared by a diverse audience from popular religious leaders including Marilyn Hickey, to the Haitian children’s Choir that visited Kentucky during the 2010 Equestrian Games.

Children's author Celia Banks is a former vice president of design for the International China Company and has been a designer for dolls, dollhouses, toys, cosmetics and gift products for such companies as Avon Products Inc., Mattel Inc., Hasbro and Horsman Doll Company.
She has recently taken her corporate experience and coupled it with her love of children and literature to create a unique series of interactive, illustrated children's books. Her method of using photographic textures is cutting-edge and proving to be an incredible interactive learning tool for young children.
