San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 01, 2012

Cherry 10 Race Series, Title Sponsored by The National Running Club, just announced its late Fall and Winter Season Racing series, which will include Running and Cycling competitions. Their upcoming Cycling Event will be in Las Vegas, NV on October 28th, 2012 with a Cycling Race the following weekend, November 3rd, 2012 in San Diego, CA. They will ring in the New Year early on December 1st, 2012 with a 70’s Themed ‘Funkedelic’ 5K/10K Run on the UNLV Campus in Las Vegas, NV. Cherry 10 Racing will be listing its busy 2013 schedule shortly with races taking place around the United States.

The Cherry 10 Race Series features distances and races of all kinds. They include running, cycling, relay races, with their running events ranging from 5K’s to 13.1 Miles to accommodate any athlete-though their 10 Mile Race is Cherry 10’s Signature Race.

Their motto, “Sweet Racing” stems from the Founder’s first race in 1996 which took place in Northern California and ended with a bowl of cherries as a reward that she purchased at a farmer’s market on her way home from this first race. From there, her running "career" was serving as an assistant to coaches of other leagues and clubs, and then Cherry 10 Racing was born out of desire to create her own unique series.

The Cherry 10 Race Organizing Team believes in quality races with light-hearted and entertaining themes, while integrating quality, affordability, and a strong foundation of giving back to each community. They also give through their own Foundation, The Cherry Foundation (Cherry Charity™), which supports a variety of causes.

"It has been a long road to where we are now. Our Founder is actually writing a book on the road traveled to get to where we are; planning and implementing races in different cities. It started out strangely in that we saw with our own eyes the world of running and racing that can be more than enough of cut-throat business-when it should actually be fun and fulfilling, which we determined it was going to be for us,” said Donna Epstein, Co-Founder of the Series. "The best part is that if you just go on your merry-cherry way, it all works out. We conduct our business within our business and support others that do what we do and leave it at that.”

The 2012 major charity partners for Cherry 10 Racing include the animal shelters and humane societies from hosting cities, as well as a variety of children’s programs. All benefitting charity partners are on-site on Race Day. They also accept applications from different charities as well who would like to participate in their Giving Program.

The Cherry 10 Racing Series has most races featuring special entertainment in the race, a uniquely designed finisher’s medal or charm, reusable Goody Bag, fitness shirt, and other fun gear that is not revealed until race day and varies with each race. Each event also includes a post-race awards ceremony with entertainment and refreshments.
