The ever-popular American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) fall meeting recently took place in Washington D.C., and featured some of the very best physicians in the industry.
“This event was absolutely fantastic. It was incredibly educational, interesting, and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Washington D.C., and am proud and honored to have been able to contribute to the overall experience,” says Beverly Hills facial plastics surgeon, Dr. Babak Azizzadeh.
The meeting was offered for continued medical education of medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing physicians in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The program was designed for physicians with all levels of experience, and covered aesthetic, reconstructive, and congenital issues relevant to these specialties.
"The program was contemporary, unbiased, educational, and relevant. The AAFPRS did a great job of creating an environment that was optimized for learning,” notes Dr. Azizzadeh.
Dr. Azizzadeh, who is widely regarded as an elite facial rejuvenation expert, served as the moderator for a workshop on injectables and fillers. The event, entitled "Injectables and Fillers Workshop,” featured some of the top experts in the world, such as Rebecca Fitzgerald, MD, Guy Massry, MD, Cheryl Burgess, MD, and Jonathan M. Sykes, MD.
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants were able to demonstrate an understanding of facial anatomy in relations to injectable fillers and neuromodulators, manage complications associated with injectable fillers, and incorporate novel applications of injectable fillers and neuromodulators.
”Moderating a workshop with such a renowned and established group of facial rejuvenation experts was truly a pleasure. We were able to cover a lot of important ground in a short period of time, something I know all the enthusiastic participants appreciated,” says Dr. Azizzadeh.
