Focus4 Training, authorised testing centre for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) accreditation, have announced 2013 scheduled course dates for instructor led, 2 day MOS courses. Kathryn Rose, Training Manager at Focus4 Training stated the benefits of instructor led courses "when learners enrol on a Microsoft Office Specialist course they undertake online training needs assessments, the course is then customised to focus on the subjects they need to concentrate on to reach the required standard. Microsoft certified trainers are at hand to teach, give advice and coach on 1-2-1 basis. At the end of the intensive course learners sit the exam. When learners have earned their MOS certification they will receive a certificate and a MOS logo which they can proudly display on cv's, emails and other business documents".

Kathryn Rose, Training Manager at Focus4 Training stated “The MOS qualification is given to individuals who display expertise in one or more of the following Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access. There are also expert level MOS certifications for Microsoft Word and Excel, which require an additional exam. The top level of MOS certification is the Microsoft Office Master, which requires passing Word Expert, Excel Expert, and PowerPoint Specialist along with a choice between Access and Outlook Specialist.

When individuals achieve MOS certifications, they are able to use a digital logo to embellish their CV’s which is immediately noticeable to potential employers. If one were to complete a MOS certification out of personal interest, one would be showing a prospective employer that they are self-motivated, driven and willing to go the extra mile to increase their skills.

Kathryn Rose explained the exam process “Exams are performance-based and conducted in a live or simulated environment. Exam candidates are asked to perform a series of tasks to clearly demonstrate their skills. A typical exam takes up to 60 minutes. Individual efforts are measured for both knowledge and efficiency. Exam results are displayed on the screen immediately after an exam is completed.

Kathryn added “In today's highly competitive job market it's essential to differentiate yourself, so why not validate or improve your skills by gaining Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) accreditation with Focus4 Training Ltd. No matter what job you do the chances are you will use or will be using one of the Microsoft Office Products. For a relatively low investment you could improve your skills, your confidence, your career prospects and your earning potential as well as demonstrating to any prospective or existing employer your advanced Microsoft Office skills".
