Redditch: Company formations are on the rise in Redditch, suggesting economic growth in the area. During the first six months of the year, there were 251 company registrations, representing a 14% rise when compared with the same period in 2011.
The Redditch Town Centre Partnership is keen to encourage entrepreneurial spirit in the town, and have just launched “Pitch Your Plan” to “help bring more life and variety into what Redditch has to offer both local people and visitors to the Town Centre”. The scheme takes the form of a “Dragon’s Den” style competition, and winning entries will receive funding to help get their business off the ground.
The initiative specifically aims to support those operators and specialist retailers offering a niche product range that will positively contribute to the overall town proposition.
