New York, NY (PRWEB) October 30, 2012

Last week, IBM unveiled its latest version of the Rational Requirements Composer software. The improvements were articulated and carried out to enhance the user experience: not only did software developers tweak overall performance of the program, but a large chunk of the overhaul was aimed at supplying users with the ability to use rich text editing features which sets this requirement management tool ahead of the competitor curve.

Sandra White, head of Rational Composer Training at Mid-Atlantic based Arcisphere Technologies, is versed in the IBM Rational line and has been using it for over 10 years for lifecycle development projects. White noted,“The new features in Requirements Composer really allow users to transcend the usual allowances of requirements management. That is, users are getting a more interactive feel and are gaining the ability to view projects from both the inside and the outside. This multi-dimensional visibility is the key to smoothing out the development lifecycle. You can only smooth out a process if you have multiple vantage points.”

The Beta phase of Requirements Composer was released in 2009 and the software has since undergone many fixes and improvements to facilitate the user experience and meet the software development lifecycle needs.

Arcisphere consultant Louis Milford states, “I’ve seen the software move from using Office-like documents and note-cards to using these beautiful platforms where users can use storyboards, rich documents, and even process diagrams to help differentiate and delineate requirement and development gaps or change impact of specific artifacts.”

With the added rich text editing and overall performance improvements, increased reliability and stability, and a more robust review and approval function, it seems the newest version of Rational Requirements Composer propels users forward another rung in the development lifecycle improvement ladder.
