A veteran of the healthcare industry, Mr. Arena most recently served as Vice President of Business Development for aLabs, a strategic lab management firm backed by Accretive, LLC aimed at improving the laboratory operations of health systems. In this capacity, he specialized in implementation of new market growth initiatives, quality improvement, and cost reduction.

Prior to his role with aLabs, Mr. Arena served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Solstas Lab Partners, formed through the merger of hospital-based Carilion Labs and Spectrum Labs in 2010. Charged with building and growing a sales team from the ground up, he played a key role in executing the M&A strategy – including integration of a 100-person sales and marketing staff spanning multiple states – while holding full top-line and P&L accountability for sales and marketing budgets.
