Alexandria, Va. (PRWEB) October 01, 2012
Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) asked President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney for their insight on issues important to military families. Each candidate received the opportunity to provide up to 1,250 words in response to the same five questions.
The responses of each candidate were published in their entirety and unedited in Military Officers Magazine, MOAA’s official magazine. They can be viewed at http://www.moaa.org/election2012/.
“We are very pleased President Obama and Governor Romney took the time to address our questions,” MOAA President Vice Adm. Norb Ryan said. “Military Families are thinking about voting now, and they need to have information to make their decision. It’s particularly important to address issues of concern to military families because the first debate on Oct. 3, at the University of Denver, will not be open to the public. Tickets will be distributed to University of Denver students randomly by lottery.”
Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is the nation’s largest officers association with 370,000 members from every branch of service, including active duty, retired, National Guard, Reserve, and former officers and their families and survivors. MOAA is a nonprofit and politically nonpartisan organization and an influential force in promoting a strong national defense. MOAA represents the interests of service members and their families in every stage of their lives and careers, and for those who are not eligible to join MOAA, Voices for America’s Troops is a nonprofit MOAA affiliate that supports a strong national defense.
