Chesterfield, MO (PRWEB) October 01, 2012
Runners love to run, but they also love to indulge every so often in a delicious snack. RunningShoes.com is celebrating these simple pleasures with a photo contest in partnership with Brooks Running.
The Brooks #RunTreat Photo Contest asks runners to upload or share a photo of their latest post-run snack. This snack could be anything from a freshly baked cookie to a bowl full of spaghetti and meatballs—any kind of foodstuff used to recover from intense cardio. A #RunTreat can be viewed as that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It’s a well-deserved reward after all that hard work.
One lucky winner will receive the ultimate reward—a goody bag that includes Brooks running shoes and running apparel along with the winner’s favorite Halloween candy. The new Brooks Ghost 5 ($110 MSRP) is the featured shoe in the prize package. The previous two iterations of this style were honored with the prestigious Runner's World Editor’s Choice Award. In the updated version, Brooks moved the Caterpillar Crash Pad support system forward through the midfoot and filled in a curve on the lateral side for a smoother transition. At 10.7 oz. (8.8 oz. for women), the Ghost 5 is also lighter than ever.
The winner also picks up some Brooks apparel. He or she can choose from the Women's Epiphany Stretch Short II ($36 MSRP) and Women’s EZ T Cupcake tee ($34 MSRP) or the Men’s Heart Running T ($28 MSRP) and Men's 5" Essential Run Short ($34 MSRP). Brooks apparel is known for being lightweight and breathable. The shorts each feature elasticized waistbands for customized fits. The tees are made with moisture-transfer fabrics to keep you cool and dry and flatlock seams to prevent chafing. Additionally, the goody bag will be chock-full of the winner’s favorite Halloween treats.
To enter the Brooks #RunTreat Photo Contest, runners can submit post-run snack photos on the RunningShoes.com Facebook Page. Entrants can also enter via Twitter by posting their photos using the hashtag #RunTreat and tagging @runningshoescom in the post. Photos will be judged based on creativity, the best representation of the contest theme and overall composition. The contest ends on Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. CT. The staff of RunningShoes.com will select and announce a winner by October 31, 2012. This contest is open to U.S. residents only.
