Giving wealth managers, estate planners and investment advisors aspirational and effective “news they can use” quietly transforms start-up trade publication into an industry leader reaching well over 150,000 readers a month.

We didn't expect to come out on top, but we're on track to double our readership compared to a year ago.

The Trust Advisor, the leading weekly newsletter for financial advisors, has conducted a study of the most popular websites serving the wealth management industry and -- surprisingly -- ranked at the top of the list.

According to third-party data and media kits, The Trust Advisor (http://www.thetrustadvisor.com) pulled ahead of all direct competitors in August and can now report 30% month-over-month higher traffic in September.

The Trust Advisor logged 187,000 page views last month as its expanded and always-innovative mix of in-depth industry news and practice management resonated with advisors.

Most other advisor publications reach an estimated 16,000 to 93,000 visitors a month.

“We didn’t expect to come out on top, but we’re on track to double our readership compared to a year ago,” says publisher Jerry Cooper.

“The hard work we’ve invested in doubling our publication frequency, improving our technology and enlisting noted industry figures to share their insight with advisors has paid off.”

The Trust Advisor’s uniquely channel-agnostic approach has helped drive growth.

Unlike publications that focus on registered investment advisors, financial planners or broker-dealer representatives at the expense of financial professionals with different business models, the Trust Advisor delivers news and perspectives that cross industry barriers.

“We started as a niche publication for trust officers and the estate planners who work with them,” Cooper says. “We’ve gotten where we are by recognizing that at the end of the day, all advisors want to serve, court and keep high-net-worth investors.”

About The Trust Advisor
From its launch in July 2009, The Trust Advisor has become the most widely read weekly e-publication for financial professionals with an annual aggregate reach above 1.2 million wealth managers, trust officers, estate planners and other advisors to high-net-worth and institutional investors.
