Nashville, TN (PRWEB) October 02, 2012
Nashville Public Library presents Mark Shriver Oct. 11 at 12:30 p.m. at Nashville Public Library on 615 Church Street.
A year after the legendary Sargent “Sarge” Shriver succumbed to Alzheimer’s, his son Mark Shriver wrote a memoir about the man who made such contributions to history as founding the Peace Corps, Head Start, and serving as the President of Special Olympics. In “A Good Man” Mark Shriver discovers notes and letters from Sarge; and hears personal stories about his father’s devotion to others and sense of purpose. Through this process, Mark discovers much about himself, as a father, a husband, and an advocate for social justice. "A Good Man" is an inspirational and deeply personal story about a son discovering the true meaning of his father’s legacy.
