Fall Festival at Randall’s Island Tops the List of Things To Do In NYC This Weekend

The Randall's Island Golf & Sports Center will be topping the list of things to do in NYC this weekend by hosting it's Fourth Annual Fall festival. Once again the festival will include hayrides, a pumpkin patch, pony rides, unlimited miniature golf and unlimited batting cages for thousands of Ny’ers. This year the founders decided to add live music and microbrews to the host of traditional activities. “We are still the same family friendly festival that we have always been. Festival goers will still enjoy our family friendly festival activities. Now, however, parents and the 21 and older crowd can relax, listen to live music and sip a craft brew,” said festival founder Kelley Brooke.

The weekend festival will kick off on Saturday Oct 6th at 11am with the music beginning at noon. Over the two day festival ten bands and artists will perform. Joco's Creek will lead off the line up of bands that includes Poor House, The Wordy Bums, Lauren Diamond, Michael Benadetto, Frank Persico, John Scarpulla, Walker Hornung of The Brotherhood of the Grape, Ed ace and B.M.W.A. and a girls’ band comprised of talented 14 year olds called Still Saffire.

For the 21 and older crowd, six craft breweries have committed to the festivities including; Brooklyn Brewery, Sixpoint, Blue Point, Narragansett, Magic Hat & Oskar Blues. Each brewery will be providing their hottest Fall brews. Each evening will conclude with a screening of Caddyshack or Happy Gilmore in the big screen.
