"This popular online program is an opportunity to join parents from around the world for a 10-Day at home “retreat” that focuses on healthy habits, positive communication and connecting with the people who matter most – the members of your family!" said Erin Goodman, the program’s creator. “The feedback from the families who have participated in the program has been tremendously positive. Parents are using the ideas and tools they learned during the Recharge and really feeling a positive difference in their families.”

Goodman, an interfaith minister, yoga teacher and mother of two, created the 10-Day Family Recharge as an online program designed to help families, including her own, slow down and reconnect.

The program, which begins on Monday, October 15, 2012, is delivered entirely online and includes a downloadable workbook, daily e-mails from Goodman and several inspiring and knowledgeable guest contributors and a private discussion group on Facebook for families from around the world to connect and share ideas.

To be sure the program is accessible to all families, Goodman offers it on a Pay-What-You-Can sliding scale, meaning each participant is able to choose the amount he or she can comfortably pay for the program.

In addition to letters of support and encouragement from the program creator, Erin Goodman, the program includes contributions from guest experts including:

  • Susan Sachs Lipman, author of Fed Up With Frenzy: Slow Parenting in a Fast Moving World;
  • Family Dinner Advocate and founder of Food On Our Table, a consulting company that helps high achieving working mothers balance home and family life, Jennifer McClanahan-Flint;
  • Husband and wife storytelling team David and Lisabeth Sewell-McCann of Sparkle Stories;
  • Parenting coaches and creators of Feeleez, a line of tools that help to teach children about empathy, Nathan McTague and Natalie Christensen;
  • And bloggers Elizabeth Sniegocki of A Natural Nester and Amy Bowers of Mama Scout.

Program participants are also encouraged to share their challenges, tips and insights within a private Recharge discussion group on Facebook!
