Irving, TX (PRWEB) October 04, 2012
Consilium Staffing will participate in three events in October to raise funds for Children’s Medical Center, a non-profit hospital that provides care to all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Private donations are critical to the hospital’s operating budget as well as support programs designed to make time at the hospital easier.
The first event starting October 1 will be Change for Children, a “penny war” between
Consilium’s Hospital Medicine, Primary Care, Psychiatry and Operations Teams. Coin boxes will be placed around the office to collect much needed funds.
The second event will be creating and assembling “Godly Play Folders”, parable kits used to assist a child in expressing emotion through play. Consilium employees will be cutting out paper figurines which assist in creating a visual which illustrates Judeo-Christian parables.
October’s events will culminate with the Red Balloon Run & Ride, a 1k fun-run and 5k run/walk and 30k cycle event on October 20, 2012 at Children’s Medical Center campus in Plano, TX. Team Consilium and their families will participate in the festivities.
“We routinely put physicians to work where they are needed the most; but there is so much more involved in the healing process,” said Sally Zoubi, Client Sales Consultant with Consilium. “The Child Life program at Children’s Medical Center takes a unique approach to healing the whole patient. The minor part we are taking on will enable the caregivers to do their part in working with the patients through play therapy.”
Consilium’s partnership with Children’s Medical Center will not end with October’s events – both organizations are looking forward to a long-term partnership with benefits going straight to the good of children and their families.
“At its core, Consilium Staffing is an organization that cares deeply about serving our immediate community, and we couldn’t ask to partner with a better organization with such a quality reputation than Children’s Medical Center” said John Moberly, Consilium Staffing Vice President.
"Locum tenens" is a Latin phrase meaning "to hold the place of."
