Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 03, 2012
1847Financial, Penn Mutual’s Philadelphia agency, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2012. The awards program, created in 2000, is one of the first statewide programs of its kind in the country. The program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal.
This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, who are benefiting the state's economy and its workforce. The complete list of the 2012 Best Places to Work in PA award recipients can be found at http://www.bestplacestoworkinpa.com.
“1847Financial is honored to be named one of the Best Places to Work in PA. Our firm’s collaborative work environment has fostered a strong, open company culture that allows novices and experts to share ideas, learn from each other and continue to grow in their own careers,” said Jim Meehan, MSM, Managing Partner of the agency. “This approach has been good for employees and for our business, and it’s good to know that it is making an impact.”
“At 1847Financial, employees have the option to attend weekly trainings to hone a particular skill or hear from other industry professionals. Team members also come together on a regular basis to support a number of organizations in the community, including our adopted non-profit group ‘Little Smiles,’” added Meehan. “This is just the beginning. We will continue to work hard to ensure that 1847Financial remains one of the best places to work for years to come.”
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part of this process was evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process.
In addition to the public/private partnership, the program is supported by the following organizations: Lead Sponsor—Team Pennsylvania Foundation; Presenting Sponsors—ParenteBeard, LLC and Wells Fargo; Major Sponsors—Capital BlueCross; Comcast Business Class; Comcast Spotlight; Global HR Research; Saul Ewing, LLP; and Purpose1.
