Intelex is proud to announce that Layne Christensen Company has joined its growing roster of clients in the water management, construction and drilling sector. Layne is devoted to the highest level of safety, health, and sustainability, and to support their vision to be a world-class safety organization and rank among the world’s leading sustainable solutions providers, Layne will leverage Intelex solutions for safety performance management, document control, training, DOT compliance, and sustainability management.

Layne has already boasted an impressive record in EHS performance, though much of the data existed in a variety of different software systems. With Intelex, Layne will be poised to gain real-time visibility into EHS key performance indicators through one centralized, web-based system.

“At Layne, excellence in safety and sustainability are central to our corporate strategy,” explains Kevin Krone, Director of Safety at Layne. “With Intelex’s streamlined, centralized system, we’re confident we will be able to take our EHS performance to the next level.”

With operations on five continents and over 5,000 employees, Layne has been an industry leader in water and drilling services since it was established on the plains of South Dakota more than 130 years ago.

Notably, in a joint effort with Latin American affiliate Geotec, Layne was instrumental in rescuing 33 Chilean miners trapped underground for 69 days in 2010. For its role in devising and implementing the drill rig that was an essential part of bringing the miners to safety, Layne received official recognition from U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House.

“We’re thrilled to be working with a company not only with such a rich corporate history lasting over a century, but also with such a deep commitment to the key values and responsibilities we take seriously here at Intelex: safety excellence, environmental stewardship and sustainability,” says Intelex President and CEO Mark Jaine. “We hope we can be a part of continuing and improving Layne’s already impressive track record in EHS performance.”
