Marines have unique needs, uniform-wise, so if you're going to be a part of the Marine Corps supply chain, you need to pay attention and get it exactly right.

Local military uniform superstore, USA Military Medals, redesigned its Marine Corps military ribbon rack fabrication processes, recently, to better fit Marine Corps uniform guidelines.
According to UMM, simply utilizing a clear plastic backing on Marine Corps ribbon racks, as opposed to the commonly employed black backing, gives Marines more style options for this custom product.
“Ribbon racks” are military slang for the colorful rows of awards commonly seen on the dress uniforms of military personnel. Some Marine Corps uniforms specifically excluded black as a color option, rendering certain “rack” styles as non-useable.
"Marines have unique needs, uniform-wise, so if you're going to be a part of the Marine Corps supply chain, you need to pay attention and get it exactly right," said Jared Zabaldo, USA Military Medals, President of Business Operations.
"We have a solid relationship with our Marine Corps customers,” said Zabaldo. “And any time we have an opportunity to adapt our product offering to fit those customers even better, we're going to do it," he said.
UMM has a tradition of bringing quality items to their customers – and staying uniquely up-to-date on changes within each branch of services’ regulations. Amending product offerings to reflect uniform developments is a constant task for the veteran-owned company.
“Regulations change and even if there isn’t an amendment made, it’s not uncommon to discover subtle nuances to a rule that you may not have even known about,” said Zabaldo. “Our customer service and production people pay very close attention to our customers and make sure our offering is on point.”
UMM customers order their military ribbons, medals, uniforms and accessories knowing they will arrive quickly and built to exact military regulations.
