Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) October 04, 2012
Diane Fetzner of Favorite Healthcare Staffing is the newly elected Chair of the Membership Committee for the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives (NWONE). NWONE is dedicated to the development of its members as nurse leaders in both the clinical discipline of nursing and as specialists in administrative practice. As an affiliated local group of the American Organizations of Nurse Executives (AONE), NWONE currently has over 450 members made up of nurse executives and nurse leaders in the Pacific Northwest region.
For three years prior to her election to the NWONE Membership Chair position, Diane served as the Pierce/Kitsap County Council Chair and Board representative for Washington State. As Council Chair and Board Representative, Diane served as a conduit between the members of her local regional group and the NWONE Board. Diane’s professional development in her healthcare career and leadership positions at Favorite Healthcare Staffing make her especially sensitive and skilled in understanding and supporting NWONE’s strategic objectives.
According to Kathy Perry, President of Favorite, “Diane comes into this role of service as a natural progression of personal leadership in her career. She became interested and involved in NWONE when she came to Favorite on behalf of the organization, as well as for the benefit of the many nurse employees she represented. Understanding the importance of how executive decisions impact membership activities has kept Diane passionate in her work at Favorite. This understanding will transfer well to her new responsibilities with NWONE.”
According to NWONE’s 2012-14 Strategic Plan, the mission of the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives is “to advance the leadership contribution of nurses in creating health care solutions for our communities.” In addition to providing critical leadership development, NWONE proactively addresses a number of state and regional health care issues, including redesign of care environments, evidence based practice, leadership and delegation skills for nurses, quality and safety in patient care, health workforce planning and the creation of healthy work environments.
