Daily life must be navigated differently than the ordinary person that does not struggle with addiction
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 04, 2012
Author Eleanor R. invites readers on the personal journey she took to discover what was making her sick, tired, afraid and irritable and how she changed her life by changing what she consumed in her new nonfiction, “The 12 Principles to Wellness: Burning Bushes and Other Epic Discoveries on the Road to Food and Alcohol Recovery” (published by Balboa Press).
The second in the author’s series of books about the trials and tribulations faced by alcoholics and food addicts, “The 12 Principles to Wellness” seeks to provide comfort and solutions for those suffering from the same combination of addictive behaviors that Eleanor R. did.
Eleanor R. explains the concepts outlined in “The 12 Principles to Wellness”:
“There are men and women that you know that suffer from the disease of food addiction or alcoholism and many suffer from both. Alcohol in its essence is sugar. Many people cannot metabolize sugar without developing a craving for more sugar. Processed food makes many people sick. Diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and a variety of mental health disorders like depression and anxiety can be traced back to what we eat and drink.”
“Daily life must be navigated differently than the ordinary person that does not struggle with addiction,” Eleanor R. writes. “The book is full of ways to love, lose, laugh, cry and experience full spectrum living without taking that first bite or that first drink.”
