There are a lot of people who are struggling in their lives and I know my book can help them.

Jose M. Gonzalez pays a resounding tribute to the resilience of the human spirit in his no-holds-barred autobiography, “Dark Lonely Road” (published by iUniverse).
“I felt the voice of God speaking to my heart to write my life story,” Gonzalez explains. “Growing up as a child with no family and homeless, I had to fight the elements to survive life itself; and by the grace of God I live to talk about it.”
Holding nothing back, Gonzalez writes openly and candidly about the struggles he endured as a child, adolescent and adult. Abuse, violence, neglect and addiction were all around him. “The wake-up call I had was when I was strung out on drugs, realizing I was throwing everything away and I could lose my family,” he recalls.
Gonzalez is hopeful that by sharing his story, others in similar situations will realize that they are not alone and find the courage to change their circumstances.
“There are a lot of people who are struggling in their lives and I know my book can help them.”
