In May 2012, a Bronx jury awarded $120 million to 45-year-old mother Jacqueline Martin who had suffered brain damage after a series of hospital visits since 2004. The New York Times reported that the award is among the largest ever issued for a medical malpractice verdict in the state. According to author and trial lawyer Nathaniel J. Friedman, Esq., “There is a one in two chance that you will be a victim of malpractice.”
To help prepare young lawyers wanting to undertake one of the most daunting of subjects they’ll face, Friedman has penned his new manual, “Medical Malpractice Litigation in the 21st Century” (published by AuthorHouse).
“Medical Malpractice Litigation in the 21st Century” is the perfect resource for those with the desire to learn the essentials on the topic of medical malpractice.
A message from Friedman to his readers about his book:
“In using this volume, keep in mind that it is a general view of what it is to be anticipated in prosecuting a medical malpractice case. However, no book is able to anticipate each situation and circumstance arising in the heat of battle. As such, use this book in conjunction with your own background, training and experience. Good luck!”
